Elisabeth Charman is an associate professor at
Portland State University
where she teaches in and coordinates the
Graphic Design program. Charman is engaged in research and practice related to
graphic design education and community engagement. She speaks and writes about these topics, and her work has been recognized by awards, grants and leading design organizations.
Friendtorship aims to increase access to design and arts learning for underserved and at risk high school students, empowering them to engage in experiential creative processes that better their communities.
